Bully Prevention Program

Bullying occurs when someone uses words or actions to intimidate someone into doing what they want. The person being bullied often feels powerless over what is happening, and the situation typically happens over and over again.

BULLY PREVENTION PROGRAM

LOCAL TRAINING TO LIFT UP THE WHOLE COMMUNITY

What is Bullying

Bullying occurs when someone uses words or actions to intimidate someone into doing what they want. The person being bullied often feels powerless over what is happening, and the situation typically happens over and over again.
We often think of of bullying as being a physical act in which someone pushes, shoves, and hurts someone else deliberately, but bullying can also be emotional. Calling someone names, spreading lies and rumors about them, making verbal threats, and sending mean comments to someone via social media are all examples of emotional bullying. This kind of intimidation often goes unnoticed as it’s easier to hide from others, but the damage can be just as bad, if not worse than traditional forms of physical bullying.

How we can help?

FOD can provide workshops and assistance with Loving and Blooming yourself and say “NO” to bullying campaigns for our youth.

11/13/1921- 02/10/2022

She received the Centennial award from Governor McMaster on her 100th birthday. She was a wonderful and loving wife, sibling, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend that always tried to help out in whatever capacity she could. A very sassy individual that enjoyed being around her family with that giving and caring tenacity.

A lot of people did not know she dropped out of school at the age of 14 due to constant dark skin bullying.

She still perservered and pushed through with her life. Treating people with love and kindness. She got married at a young age to Frederick Milledge, they had 9 children. She worked as a domesticate worker for 16 years, and paid her way through nursing assistant school. After finishing school she was hired at Baptist hospital as a Nursing Assistant in Columbia South Carolina and worked for 34 years until retirement.
